Most of the year I do not watch TV with the exception of January through April. I’m a podcast listener and reader, instead. Plus, though I read headlines, I tend to disregard the news. That’s just me.
I discovered this Netflix series which I’m about to recommend in an interesting way. I follow Bishop Robert Barron on Youtube and caught this delightful episode with Jonathan Roomie:
This informed me that Roomie plays Jesus in the Netflix series, “The Chosen”. Eventually, I got around to watching it and it is very well done. I enjoyed it and I recommend watching it, whatever your beliefs are or your spiritual standing is, doesn’t matter. The portrayal of the time and place and era was quite interesting. Especially since I’m interested in the Gnostics, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Nag Hammadi texts, and writings from that time.

Additionally, I would recommend “The Two Popes” which is a story of two aging men confiding in each other some of their life’s regrets.
