The sci-fi movie, Arrival, is about a linguist who works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after spaceships land in twelve different places around the world. It is based upon “Story of Your Life” written by Ted Chiang. The military begins defensive moves, ready to attack, while the very brave female linguist professor and author finds a way towards unity and oneness.
This is inspirational for achieving a planetary oneness and peace. It demonstrates how important language is in conveying thoughts and forming ideas. One language, the right language, could help to unite the planet. Also, inspirational in this plot line was the fact that only one or two people saved a global situation.
Starring roles are played by Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. This movie should be better known.
