Beatty Carmichael discusses the nature of demonic influence and its role in human suffering as the source of addiction, anxiety, failed relationships, and anger. Carmichael, who spent years documenting spiritual patterns through his work with over a thousand individuals, describes demons not as deceased humans, but as persons without bodies, and as spiritual entities, that function as agents of pure sin. He characterizes demons as highly restricted beings that operate under a strict hierarchy subservient to divine authority. He says they seek to “steal, kill, and destroy” by exploiting open doors created by unreported sin or fear.
Regarding violent acts and addiction, Carmichael stated that such behaviors are often driven by demonic possession rather than the individual’s own will. He cited cases where perpetrators of extreme violence had no memory of their actions, claiming they were in a trance while a demonic spirit used their physical bodies. He shared an account of his son’s experience with demonic visitations, in which a demon acted like a prosecuting attorney by accusing him of sin. According to Carmichael, the issue was resolved when his son invoked “the blood of Jesus” over those sins. He also noted the importance of refusing to submit, citing his son’s success in ending the attacks by choosing to ignore the entities rather than reacting with terror.
Addressing the question of whether individuals should actively fear these entities, Carmichael offered a nuanced perspective. “If you have … no open doors, no,” he said. However, he warned that “what you don’t know will absolutely destroy you,” emphasizing that many people remain unaware of the spiritual rules governing these interactions.

I’ve discussed the yin yang on this site before, as if good and evil are in balance. I’ve personally spoken to two women casually who disclosed to me that they have cast out demons at times. One was a minister and one was a shaman. I didn’t doubt either one of them.
I’ve also just listened to a talk about MK Ultra by Cathy O’Brien and it seems like this is an overlapping subject because evil forces use that technique to fight good. Our minds create, too. The gnostics speak of evil and how it came to be.
This is not the first time I’ve heard similar talks by other people… the part about addicted persons having attachments or entities or, according to Carmichael, demons. There is great variation in terminology.
Keeping ones vibration elevated offers protection, as do intentions. Succumbing to fear opens doors due to the lower vibration.
I intend to read Carmichael’s book, THE PRAYER OF FREEDOM. Because I think what he covers is broad and applies to we humans living our lives in general.
