Pandiculation for Shoulder Tension

We MUST have relaxed muscles for the light to get in. If we have tension we are resisting the divine flow of energy into and through our body. All spiritual practices begin with relaxing muscles.

Previously, I’ve posted my struggle with releasing tight shoulder/trapezius muscles related to decades of scoliosis abnormal posturing in my upper spine. Only two years ago did I become aware of it.

The NYT’s just published an article about this subject. As is often the case, some of the more valuable information was in the comments below the article, where readers shared their experiences, and what had helped them.

A new method introduced to me was “pandiculation”. I’ve made a lot of progress in releasing my upper back tension after two years of using various methods. I do consider a daily yoga practice to be an important tool.
