Qigong (pronounced chi kung) is a Taoist practice and tradition in which Qigong masters repeat movements which harness energy flow and target healing and health. Those who practice 30 minutes twice a day may have 50 percent greater longevity, increase physical traits such as bone density, reduce stress, and direct the chi energy through intention.
With practice, the skill of harnessing the qi improves over time. Not only is the practice preventative, it offers the practicioner daily benefits such as focus and balance and more acute senses. Many have reported healings from cancer and other illnesses, too, from doing Qigong. To address disease, doing it several hours a day is recommended.
