Yes, I use WordPress. I just read that wordpress is enabling AI to run sites. We are already in the throws of AI’s talking to each other, commenting on their own content, impersonating, and the like. May Alan Watts RIP. Human content will be exploited to the max and the peak of original material might be now. What you read after this … well, think about it.
I am trying to post original content here and for ought? Only to be drowned out by this new wave of AI sites and AI written content? There would be no AI if it weren’t able to use what humans have already established using their analytical and creative skills.
Obviously there are so many philosophical issues at play here, too, in regards to human development and potential if our time is spent digesting and scrolling instead of creating, exercising, and expanding our abilities. Humans are by nature tempted by indulgence and laziness so why do the work if there’s an easier way? Kids especially, as those of us “old school humans” are not going to be around forever.
I use AI a lot already in my daily life. It saves me tons of time. And that is good. But a line will be crossed here where we are blurring the ability to find reliable information. And truth. There is so much misinformation already.
I think the internet might be committing suicide. But I’m not sure. In the mean time, I’ll continue to plug away like I always have.
