Someone who I tend to follow on Youtube, RJ Spina “ascendthefrequencies” has been doing a series on narcissists. Just when a narcissist has entered my life big time. (Beware that the term narcissist is being thrown around too loosely these days and people use the term to explain a vast number of relationship problems, when in fact, only about 1 or 2% of the population is a true narcissist.)
Between listening to his talks and research I’ve done on my own, here is a list of tools that should be helpful for those of us having to navigate a narcissist as best we can.
In general, the advice is to set boundaries for one’s self. Do your best. Remember to stay calm and keep your own vibration high through meditation, with an open heart, and self-love. Once you recognize the personality disorder you are dealing with, you know what to expect and not to expect. Until I fully realized who I was dealing with I was offended by this person’s lack of appreciation for what I’d done, lack of listening to my simple communications about what I needed, and overall disrespect while “knowing it all”. Going forward, I know I am dealing with a grandiose narcissist so I can adjust my expectations and accept this person as is. It’s me that must change, because this person is not going to. So for me, it is a test, an opportunity to grow. Though an unfortunate encounter left me down-hearted, my job is to recover quickly and not attach to this “problem”. Nothing can touch our “awareness”. Do your spiritual practices every day.
RJ Spina says that a narcissist is a different type of incarnation altogether, a non-reincarnating low vibrational being, always with astral entities attached. These entities provide a symbiotic relationship through giving them insights or intuitions. Narcissists are operating at a low frequency and it’s only about them, even when they can appear to be magnanimous. They are a catalyst for us to grow and evolve since they leave with no karmic debt and that karmic debt is for us to work off.
I think of the Law of One’s teaching of having an open heart and finding the love in every moment, and serving others more than fifty percent of the time.
This world isn’t easy. These are tough trials. But don’t forget that you are a co-creator of your world. Keep your thoughts and words positive because life is a mirror. This world is illusory.
