How To Live

I recently was challenged by one of my triggers. I kept telling myself to remain calm and centered and trust the Universe. Then, I thought of something that could always be my guide on how to live.

What is this guide?

Witnessing the morning sunrise at the beach.

Experiencing the morning sunrise on the Eastern seaboard is a joyous occasion that is celebrated by all of life’s forms. The seabirds are ecstatic with joy for the new day. They start flying and singing in anticipation ahead of the sunrise. The beauty of the shades and hues of pinks and blues and every other pastel color along with the sound of the ocean’s waves and birds are awe inspiring. We are here to celebrate life. This is an innate truth. After the darkness, the life-giving light always appears. We are here to appreciate, to be in awe of, and to experience the marvels of creation. If we could remember that attitude in each of our moments, we would never fear again. We would remain joyous and undisturbed. We would celebrate and help protect each other and our planet and all of its life forms. We would find the beauty wherever we are. We would enjoy, playfully, each activity. We would prioritize Nature, of which we are a part. Nature is our teacher and our sustainer. Each morning is a new beginning. Each morning is a new opportunity to be joyous for being alive and to spread that joy.

It is a great day to be alive!

For the time being, I will make this my practice.
